Five Months Old

Dane is five months old! And he has been since the 17th. I meant to post these then, but life kept getting in the way. Oh, well. He is now sitting pretty well without support, pushing up to his hands and knees, and desperately trying to crawl. In the process, he scoots all over the place, just not where he wants to go. Then he gets MAD! Poor little guy just wants to catch up to his crazy big sister. I keep telling him to stop trying to grow up so fast -- he's my baby! Sometimes Ava "helps" me change Dane's diaper. It gets a little crowded on the changing table, though.

Uncle Charlie and Aunt Karen got Ava the T-shirt on their honeymoon to Maui. She's got a little growing to do before it fits! One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong. . . Yogurt is apparently good for the complexion -- keeps the skin looking youthful. Hmmm, maybe Ava is on to something here . . .

Dane in Action

Here's one more video for your viewing pleasure. Dane is getting more mobile and more vocal all the time. I took this video less than a week ago, and Dane is already scooting around even more. Usually, he gets into push-up position, then slides backward and gets mad because he wants to go forward. Just today he figured out how to push off his feet to scooch himself forward. He'll be crawling in no time, getting into Ava's toys, and making Mommy's life even more interesting!

"Playing" Together

Ava and Dane sometimes "play" together. Last week, Ava climbed into the crib with Dane and was bouncing all around him. The video at the bottom is pretty funny. It's fun to see them interacting so much now.
