Easter Morning

We had a great Easter! First, the kids got to dig into the goodies in their Easter baskets. Then, we went to worship service at our church, where Ava sang "Jesus Christ is Risen Today" with the rest of the Sunday School kids. After church, there was an Easter egg hunt for all the kids. After that, we had dinner, cousin Kyle's first birthday cake, and another egg hunt at Uncle Charlie and Aunt Karen's house. Here are pics from the first event of the day -- raiding Easter baskets!

Look at all the fun stuff the Easter Bunny left for Ava and Dane!The kids each got one of these fun Yo Gabba Gabba toys. If you've never had the pleasure of watching Yo Gabba Gabba, it's a kids' show on Nick Jr. that's . . .bizarre. But the kids love it! Anyway, these toys shake and sing a song when you drop them or hit them against something. Ava's was the Toodie character, who sings Jumpy-Jump:And Dane's was Brobee, who sings Party in my Tummy.Chocolate bunny!The kids each got a set of kid-sized garden tools and a pair of gloves -- Dora for Ava, Diego for Dane. Dane was funny -- he pulled each thing out of his basket, asked what it was, and then repeated it enthusiastically. "SHOBEL!"Ava got this cool "kid-tough" digital camera. So far, it lives up to its name. I'll have to put some examples of her high-quality photography up here on the blog sometime.And Dane loves his new trike, of course!Up next . . . church Easter egg hunt!
